Privacy Policy
BlankStudy (the "app") does not collect any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. The developer operates no server of any kind.
1. Data we collect
None. The app does not collect or transmit your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, location, contacts, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers. The developer has no way of knowing when or how you use the app.
2. Where your material is stored
- Everything you create in the app (books, folders, pages, masks, answers, handwriting, notes, bookmarks, review history) is stored on your device.
- If your device is signed into iCloud and iCloud is enabled for BlankStudy, that material syncs to your own iCloud private database, provided by Apple, so you can continue on your other devices using the same Apple Account. That storage belongs to you; the developer cannot access it.
- iCloud is optional. Every feature works entirely on-device without signing into iCloud.
3. Third parties
None. The app contains no advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting libraries. There is no path by which your material could reach the developer or any third party.
4. Device permissions
- Notifications — requested only if you turn on review reminders. Reminders are generated and shown entirely on your device and are never sent anywhere. You can turn them off at any time.
- Photos and files — the app reads only the specific photos, images, PDFs, or text files you choose to import. It does not browse or index your photo library.
5. Backup files
Backup files you create are encrypted with a password you choose (AES-256-GCM, with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key derivation) and saved only where you put them. The password is never stored anywhere, so if you lose it, no one — including the developer — can recover the backup.
6. Sharing a book
Sharing a book creates a file containing that book's contents. It goes only to the recipient and channel you choose (AirDrop, Messages, and so on) and never passes through a developer-operated server.
7. Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
8. Retention and deletion
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
- Material synced to iCloud can be deleted in iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage → BlankStudy.
- Because the developer holds no user data, there is nothing to request deletion of from the developer.
9. Your rights
The developer holds no personal data about you. You can view, edit, delete, and export (via backup) all of your material yourself inside the app. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated text and a new "last updated" date will be posted on this page. Material changes — such as the app beginning to collect any data — will also be noted in the app's release notes.
